Afzainizam Zahari curently lives in Singapore and works as a teacher. He has a strong desire to boldly go where no man has gone before (except maybe the depths of the volcano). He is a dreamer/artist/inspirer/performer/animator/game creator/mac user and an overall charming person. Before he became the fountain of knowledge to adolescents, he was busy creating animations for television programmes, web development and mobile games for PDA. All of which were done using Flash.
Timeline
2002
Bought his first PDA—an iPaq 3630 pocket PC. Tinkered with the Flash player 4 and 5 for the pocket PC. Created his first mobile game for the Pocket PC using Flash.
Created an animation for a TV ad with a buddy of mine from the university.
2003
He won a web design competition locally in Singapore organized by Suria Channel in Singapore.
Created an animation for a TV programme for Suria Channel.
He is still going strong with creating more mobile games for the Pocket PC. Started to explore more opportunities in selling the mobiles games through Handango and Pocket Gear. He also started his own webstore at his website.
He started to teach web design, Flash Animation and LEGO robotics to various schools in Singapore.
2004
He started to like teaching a lot and decided to become a teacher full-time. Development for mobile games for the Pocket PC took a back seat due to time constraints as well as the switch to the Mac environment.
He made the historic switch from PC to Mac after being tired of incessant warning popups, bloated anti virus softwares and the fear of malwares from using browsers on the PC.
He never looked backed after that.
2007
Got his first Flash Lite enabled phone—Sony Ericsson k610iM. Flash on mobile phones reignited his passion for mobile games once more.
Started Fat Pengy with a good friend and created and developed Flash Lite games for Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones.
Won the Flash Lite application contest 2006. Awarded best animation for the Flash Lite Wallpaper—Sushi Sue.
2008
Won the Playyoo Launch Game Design Competition. 3rd place and 7th place.
